The Elias Howe School, a 3 story brick building constructed in the late 1800’s, served as a Bridgeport public grammar school until 2005. The school building is located in the west end of the City, between Fairfield Avenue and State Street. It now serves as senior housing, featuring 37 newly constructed apartments. The floor plan of each unit includes a kitchen and bath, a living room with a dining area and a bedroom. The development also has a recreational room for resident services and programs. All units have Energy Star rated appliances, windows, doors, and insulation.
